Brought this book along to work on monday. read half in a day,and all within the next two days.
The book is about this woman who is a prosecutor a mother,a best friend and a wife. when she found out her son has been raped she goes all out to protect him to the extent of risking giving up her life.
I was so engrossed in the book! liked the way how the author narrated it in all of the 4's view. the mother, the little 5yr old boy,the husband and the best friend. at one point i practically teared when i read about how both parents are so devastated and helpless.. and when u read from the little kid's point.. it might not be all true how he might think but u can feel the innocence.
Its sad, touching, cute loving and all so real.
like harry potter, its almost perfectly written. i judge that by how much i can picture e story.. rmb when i first read harry potter,i could conjure the look of the Hogswarts castle.. and u let ur imagination run ur head! for this book.. its a total mixed feeling until i got to a point i could imagine whats gg to happen in e end i stopped reading totally. but couldnt resist not knowing the ending and picked it up again realising, its a twist and totally diff fr what i imagined it to be.
i like that feeling :)
isnt the lil boy on the cover the cutest thing ? i really love little kids. little kids meaning 5years and below! after that.. they somehow evolve into 'not so little anymore' rascals.
maybe im too bored w my life maybe i just am boring i sound like a geeky bookworm but books are great ! esp when u work as a receptionist. speaking of work, tmr's my last day at Korea Exchange Bank. its been a fun great experience.i kind of like it quite much. why? cus no one really bothers bout u everyone's too busy with their own work than to care bout me.
but all of them hav been rather pleasant to me
no point being too nice either im only there til tmr! ha
lunchbreaks have been nice too !!
alone and stoning sometimes while i eat
but i love sitting on the bench staring at the changing crowds down for lunch.
i dont really care much abt looking pathetically lonely tis time
